Randall Gas Technologies, a division of Lummus Technology, a CB&I company, has several patented processes that are used for very high ethane, propane, and LPG extraction and recovery. These include:
Very High Propane Recovery - LPG-MAXSM
This patented process recovers 99+% C3 from natural gas streams. A simplified version of the process is available that has modestly lower recoveries (93 to 95%) with lower capital cost.
High Propane Recovery - Super HY-PROSM STC
This process recovers from 95 to 99% C3 from gas streams. The process uses an absorber/deethanizer scheme with the towers stacked to reduce installation cost. Further reduction of capital cost is possible by using an internal condenser on the deethanizer.
High Propane Recovery - Super Hy-ProSM TTC
This process recovers 95 to 99% C3 from natural gas streams. The process uses a two tower absorber/deethanizer scheme. The deethanizer tower is run at a higher pressure than the absorber to free flow reflux from the deethanizer to the absorber.
Very High Propane Recovery/High Ethane Recovery - HPASM
This patented process recovers 99+% C3 from natural gas streams. The process is also applicable for C2 recovery up to 95%. The process uses a modified two tower process design with the towers decoupled to ensure smooth and stable operation.
Very High Ethane Recovery - NGL-FLEXSM
This patented process recovers 99+% C2 from natural gas streams with essentially 100% C3+ recovery. The process uses a semi-lean and lean reflux combination to achieve high ethane recovery, or increased throughput at lower recoveries.
Very High Ethane Recovery - NGL-MAXSM
This patented process recovers 99+% C2 from natural gas streams. The process uses semi-lean and lean reflux to achieve high ethane recovery or to increase throughput at lower recoveries.
High Ethane Recovery - NGL-PROSM
This patented process is used to recover 95 to 99% C2+ from natural gas streams. Ethane rejection is possible while maintaining high propane recovery. The process is especially suitable for lean to semi-lean feed gas where hydrocarbon liquid content is less than 3.5 gal/Mscf.
